Authorities say a baby seal made it 4 miles from the water to the front yard of a home. It was found in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Rescuers nicknamed the seal Ozzie. She was found March 24 on Osgood Road in Fremont, California. The female northern fur seal had no visible signs of injury. She was taken to the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito.

The 9-month-old seal has been rescued before. Center staff members say the pup was found malnourished last November at New Brighton State Beach in Capitola.

She was treated and released earlier this month in Bodega Bay. It is about 100 miles northwest from where the animal was found in Fremont.

They say the seal should have headed north to Alaska but she lost her way and headed south.

That seal is so cute it's like a pug! I can't believe it made it 4 miles with out being caught. It's such a good story and it's short it was made for me.

I can't believe that this seal Ozzie they call him went four miles without getting caught and not in the water for that long.

Rescuers knew that Ozzie, the baby seal, had been found before because Center staff members say she was found in malnourished last November at New Brighton State Beach. Ozzie was treated and only released earlier this month.

Ozzie is so cool because he made it 4 miles out of water, and showed no sign of injury.

The rescuers know the seal had been rescued before because of historical records. The rescuers said,"The 9-month-old seal has been rescued before. Center staff members say the pup was found malnourished last November at New Brighton State Beach in Capitola." The staff had told them that they had rescued the pup before. It is great that the pup was rescued. My opinion is that it is cool that the center remembered that specific pup from a previous time.

Good thinking! I agree, it is pretty cool that they remembered the one special baby seal. Ozzie must have been a wild one!

This was a cool article and i wonder why Ozzie keeps on showing up? Also i wish that it gave us more information about Ozzie. I hope Ozzie finds a safe place to live!
