10 billionth iTune sold. How many did you buy? Apple's iTunes has sold its 10 billionth tune.

Apple said Thursday that its online music store crossed the threshold Wednesday when 71-year-old Louie Sulcer of Woodstock, Ga., bought "Guess Things Happen That Way" by Johnny Cash.

iTunes had promoted the 10 billion mark and celebrated the milestone by giving Sulcer a $10,000 iTunes gift card.

Introduced in 2003, iTunes became the top overall music retailer in the U.S. in 2008.

That is so cool! Music is my life, and iTunes helps provide it. 10 billion, that's amazing! I have bought a few tunes on iTunes myself, but i doubt it made a major difference in it. It more than likely will get more and more faster and faster, GO ITUNES!

That is a lot of itunes thathave ben sold. How many did I buy lets say ten.I mean Itunes are cool but that has ben a lot of Itunes sold.

i hate itunes its the worst program ever, i hate apple in general but itunes is one of the worst. when i used to use it i would buy songs and they would purchase but i wouldnt have the songs in the library and i e-mailed itunes about 10-15 times and i never got reinburst. but if i bought the 10 billionth itune i would sell the gift card and sell it and either buy something realy kool or take down apple.

ITunes is lame because they cost money I too get my music for free and do not plan on ever buying music from ITunes. Well i guess i might just have to buy stuff from ITunes because i am going to be getting and IPhone but thats only because the IPhone is awesome and "it lies for you." (Gabriel Iglesias)

I think that is crazy. Since I love I-tunes. I would love to have that kind of money because, I have so many songs I wont to download.

I decided to read this article because I love Itunes and I couldn't believe they sold 10 billion tunes. I agree with Itunes achieving this goal of 10 billion tunes because they deserve it. Many people every day buy songs from Itunes and I think they should be recognized for their accomplishment. If I was in the same position as Louie Sulcer I would be excited just as she was. I think this will impact other tweens because they will see they didn't win the $10,000 itunes gift card and see why.
