California disses Iowa…what say you Hawkeyes?
California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says Florida is "for the old people" and that no one wants to take a vacation in Iowa.
The Republican governor and former bodybuilder told a Silicon Valley conference on infrastructure that in comparison, his state has a reputation as a destination.
"No matter where you go in the world, people still want to come to California," Schwarzenegger said. "There's no one screaming like, 'I can't wait to get to Iowa.' That I can guarantee you. They want to come here to California."
He also said that California's economic diversity can be seen in Hollywood, technology startups, tourism and agriculture, whereas many states are noted for just one attribute.
"Like one state is known for its potatoes; one state is known for its oil," Schwarzenegger said at the Next American Economy conference, which was hosted by The Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program and Lazard investment bank. "And another state like Florida is known for the old people."
Oh no he didn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How dare he!!! Has he ever even came to Iowa! I'm from Iowa and I will admit that right now Iowa isn't "the place to be", but California is like way over populated and everywhere when you breathe all you breathe is the smell of gasoline and oil! In Iowa, at least we have corn okay corn! Corn rocks!!!! You know I used to like California until this dude who thinks his state is all macho disses Iowa! That's so not cool dude!!!!

I live in Iowa and we aren't even close to the word boring! We have an Adventure land and we don't have to sit in front of our door with a shotgun! And I've never been to Florida but a lot of my friends have and they don't come back saying Florida is for old people! yeah right Cali is Awesome and I was born there I lived in that state for 12 years and I loved it there I mean In Iowa is there Hollywood or San Francisco, or even New Port Beach, I don't even know what Iowa is like but Cali is way better I am willing to bet.... Represent!
I agree with Arnold the only thing good in florida is Universal studios. Even though i enjoy California's Universal alot better. Flordia has really bad storms on certain seasons.
