Man calls 911 after eatery runs out of lemonade: Authorities said a man, 66, was arrested after calling 911 on Saturday to complain that a fast food restaurant ran out of lemonade.
After a drive-through employee failed to respond to the man's threat of contacting the police, the irate diner called 911, a police report alleges.
He spent about 5 minutes talking to the 911 operator about his complaint.
Boynton Beach said the man was charged with abuse of 911 communication.

My opinion is that...the man shouldn't have called 911, just because they ran out of lemonade.,but it's HILARIOUS that he did. He did deserve to be charged with abuse of 911 communication because there's NOTHING that the police could've done! If they ran out of lemonade...they ran out of lemonade! I say either get something else or go somewhere else if you really want lemonade, but as you can see from this. article, calling 911 wasn't the smartest idea in the world.....
Agreed by all my heart. Gee it's lemonade you'll live if you don't drive to some other place. I still can't believe he called 911 when there was no fire or kiddnapping!
I don’t even understand why the police came! That man would just have to be fine with it if they ran out of lemonade! Since when did the world revolve around him? Maybe because he was getting so old he went crazy for lemonade and insisted that every fast food restaurant had lemonade! who really knows though? Why DID the restaurant have no lemonade? They should make sure that they are in FULL stock of lemonade from now on because when that man gets out of jail, he's going to come storming into that restaurant looking for lemonade. Also, why is 911 so mad? Although it was a really bad way to use 911, they shouldn’t penalize an old man for not completely knowing all the rules of 911! Maybe they should be more forgiving, like say you have broken this rule X amount of times and because of that you will be penalized for this. Penalizing an old man for a simple crime.... sad but very funny!
OMG! That's so funny why would you call 911 if they ran out of lemonade? What are the cops going to do? They can't bring any more lemonade so what's the point of calling 911? I hope he has to go to federal prison for 37 years. I hope they never ever give him lemonade again. He deserves to be punished for the crime he did. I think that he should even get the electric chair, and before he dies he should be tortured--like not give him lemonade or any other drink.
This story is so funny! It is also kinda sad! I guess the sixty-six year old really likes the lemonade to call 911. I don't think that they really had to charge him with abuse though. I think that was unnecessary.
If a store was out of lemonade, i would just buy some more or ask for a refund --instead of calling the police because no one was in danger!
