Man catches world's largest, largemouth bass
A man was being credited with tying the 77-year-old world record for catching the biggest largemouth bass.
The International Game Fish Association announced Friday that it had confirmed the 22-pound, 4-ounce fish caught by Manabu Kurita.
The Florida-based group said Kurita caught the fish July 2 on Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake.
Kurita's fish tied the record of George Perry, who caught his bass on Georgia's Montgomery Lake on June 2, 1932.
Kurita used 25-pound test line and a live blue gill as bait.

I cant believe it weights 22 pounds i wonder how it will tast if you ate it.I wish i could feel how big it is.
WOW! It's nice fish=) I remember mine first catch, like 0.8 kg=)) I'm very happy when i catched that fish=)) I think if i learn more how to catch fish , I'll catch same fish....
To be honest there is nothing more i love than fishing to working out comes second . Anyways back to the topic i would love to catch a 22 pound large mouth bass its hard to take in that that fish weighs that much. It just amazes me the size of that fish . What an accomplishment.

If I was ever to catch that big of a fish, I wouldn't know what to do but I would be so excited I would be speechless. I've caught some good size fish but would love to catch one like that.
Wow! Thats an insane catch. I've never seen more than a half pound bass. That would be a tough one to real in. I wish I could catch one that big.
That is a big fish! that guy is lucky his line didn't break, he must have been patient while reeling it in because otherwise his line would have snapped. He also used a whole blue gill, that is crazy for a large-mouth bass to eat an entire blue gill. I wish i could have seen this fish in person because it is a monster.
I didn't even know there was a fish that big. The largest fish i have caught was a 8 pound catfish and it was pregnant. I am surprised it did not break his line.
That fish is huge! It crazy how people can evn real them in. He also beat the world record and he did. The record was there for 77 years. I bet alot of people are tring to his record now.
I love fishing Iam a fisher it's a lot of work reeling in even a five pound bass a lot of work but a twenty two pounds and four ounces would be plain exsosting but what a record.
