The Minnesota Wild lost in a shootout this weekend to the Edmonton Oilers.
It was a very close game. The game turned out to be 1 to 2, Edmonton
With the win. Nikolas Backstrom with 27 saves, including over time. Khabibulin had 21 saves, including overtime.
Minnesota Wild played at the Edmonton Oilers ice arena. Mikko Koivu (captain) says, “we played great and so did they, both teams had a great game but they just got the advantage and there’s nothing we can do about it.”
Mikko koivu shooting from the top of the circle with a slap shot hitting all three posts before going in. Latandress scoring in the shoot out to keep the team alive for a little bit more. Marc Pouliot scored the winning goal for the Edmonton Oilers in shoot out with an outstanding backhand under Nikolas Backstrom’s blocker.
The wild are now at 69 points in the northern division. Edmonton is at 69 for the northern division too. Mikko koivus’ shot percentage is 3 for 4 (75%). The coach has to deal with who goes out on the ice for the shoot out line up. So he puts the best shooters on the ice so they have a better chance of winning the game for the team. The wild will need to get a lot of points in order to make it to the playoffs because the division leader is at 89 points. Watch this weekend to see the wild play the Florida Panthers at the Excel Energy Center.

Good job. Lots of facts. What is the arena called that they played at? I like all the facts. Also I like how you described the winning goal and who got it. I like this paper. Good job buddy.
I think the wild would have one the Oilers game if there defense would have played better during the game. What as the order of the shootout? And also, who scored the winning goal for the Oilers?
