Snowmageddon hits VA, MD, DC, NJ, PA
Planes were grounded, trains stood still and Greyhound buses weren't rolling in the Mid-Atlantic region on Sunday, leaving stranded travelers wondering when they'll be able to escape the icy, gray mess created by a major snowstorm.
Many roads reopened but officials continued to warn residents that highways were still icy, a remnant from the storm President Barack Obama called "Snowmageddon." Many school districts across the region are giving students a snow day on Monday.
In Washington, the sun was finally shining Sunday and the sounds of shovels could be heard on streets. In contrast to Saturday, when people were frolicking on the barren streets, thoughts turned Sunday to cleanup.
In Philadelphia, 28.5 inches of snow fell during the storm, just shy of the record 30.7 inches during a January 1996 blizzard. Snow totals were even higher to the west in Pennsylvania, with 31 inches recorded in Upper Strasburg and 30 inches in Somerset.
i wish illinios would of got alot of snow, every time we got snow it would of melted a week later then two weeks later snowed again.
I read about a big snow storm that made buses,trains, and planes standing still. I think its probly going to make places and services lose money. I think if everyone that could pitch in they could get the over 20 in. of snow moved just atleast to the sides of the rode.
I think all that snow is just crazy because I am just waiting until spring to came so I can go outside to play with my friend and family. So hurry up spring because I just want no more snow to come because it is time for the sun to came out every single day so I can ride my bike all day everyday it will just be fun to do.

I cant believe how much snow we have gotten its soooo amazing! But i just want it to get warm now cause im sick of the cold weather, i want it to be spring!
The snow is now terrible here where i live and i just hate it i wish that the snow will stop . But today it looks like that we are going to have the 3rd worst storm of snow, rain, and sleet. I wish summer was already here and i feel really bad for the people whose power has gone out. the snow is going on and on without stopping. I hope that the snow will stop.
