Son of Man:
Magritte painted it as a self-portrait. The painting consists of a man in a suit and a bowler hat standing in front of a small wall, beyond which is the sea and a cloudy sky. The man's face is largely obscured by a hovering green apple. However, the man's left eye can be seen peeking over the edge of the apple.

I think the artist was having trouble trying to express what he looked like so he covered the most recognizable part of his head. Which makes this such a unique painting
This is just like a book I used to read last year called Freida. She was a girl who painted portraits of herself and her family tree. Every portrait she painted had a different idea. Twins, family, babies, or mixed she would paint.
Interesting i dont understand much but its creative. People would like to see that posted. Its kinda seems like he is watching you beacuse of his left eye.
I think it's just plain weird that they would put this in an art gallery. It's kind of ugly and I don't really like it!!!
That picture really freaks me out. How could that lime hang right there? Was it connected to his hat or something?Anyways that picture is W E I R D weird!!!!!
I think this painting is funny because who puts an appple in front of a persons face and I think this person is also a genius because who else would think to put an apple in front of a mans face. Also i think that this painting has alot of persistance because he didnt care what everybody else thought.
