Would you fly around the world with him? U.K. man says he plans to make the first round-the-world trip in a customized rotorcraft known as an autogyro.

Norman Surplus says he hopes to kick off his 27,000 mile circumnavigation from the seaside town of Larne in Northern Ireland.

The Switzerland-based World Air Sports Federation says it has no record of anyone flying around the world in an autogyro, a helicopter-like craft equipped with a rotor and a propeller.

On Thursday, Surplus showed off his small yellow, open cockpit craft before the trip, which is expected to take him through 26 countries, including France, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Myanmar, Taiwan, Japan, the United States and Canada.

maybe i would if i knew him but since i dont well that kinda sucks it looks fun and all but i would rather go around the world with my family and friends then that guy srry maybe when i grow up but have fun with your life :)

that looks like it is fun but i wouldn't go with him because that plane might break down half way around the world in one of the oceans and nobody is gonna know

thats cool but no i would not fly with that dude and he never even rode in it before thats not safe and by the profile picture it looks kind of small

I would not fly with him because what happens if it ran out of gas and we fell in the ocean it will be so scary.

I wouldn't fly over the oceans in that, i also think that i would get restless riding in a super small helicopter for more than four hours.

I would do anything to go around the world. The countries that they mentioned are most of the countries that I want to visit when I am older. I don't care as long as it flies.
