Zoo draws crowds with zebra-colored donkeys
In the Middle East, Gaza City zookeepers have found a creative way of drawing crowds to their dilapidated zoo — by painting their donkeys. The Marah Land Zoo's only two zebras died of hunger earlier this year when they were neglected during the Israel-Hamas war. The popular animals were too expensive to replace, so the keepers decided to design a pair of donkeys with black and white patterns instead.
Ahmad Barghouti says a professional painter used French-manufactured hair coloring to make the donkeys look like zebras.
Hasan Yaseen said Thursday since his three children have never seen a real zebra, they enjoy the Gaza version. Aside from the two 'zebras,' the zoo also flaunts an aging tigress, two monkeys, and a selection of birds, rabbits and cats.

That's so cool! But I wouldn't believe in that.So that means there zoo didn't really have attention to the animals.I've been to the zoo before there was a lot of animals.
That's interesting that donkeys are colored like zebras. Are you sure that the people didn't color the donkeys just to get on tweenTribune.Are they rare that you find donkeys colored like zebras.
how cool is that I wished I could do that to my horse ruby. I mean w cool would that be to have a horse or donkey painted as a zebra.
Tell those zoo peeps to stop painting other animals a different kind or similar animals it will most likely color the animal that color permanently.

That is just so weird. I have never seen a donkey that has strips colord as a zebra. I wonder if the donkeys dad was a zebra??????

That’s not cool, why go and see an animal that you can go to a farm and see. It realy sounds like their having a hard time with getting visitors ,but still why would they paint the donkey’s.
