Tween suspended for “bad” haircut A young Cincinnati Bengals fan has been penalized for clipping. Dustin Reader got the NFL team's stripes and "B'' insignia cut into his hair as a tribute to the team. When he showed up to school in the southwest Ohio city of Hamilton on Monday, officials put the eighth-grader into in-school suspension.

The school said its code of conduct prohibits extreme and distracting hairstyles.

Reader's parents and barber said they don't understand why the haircut is out of bounds. His father said his son just wants to show pride in the 6-2 Bengals. School officials said he will continue to do his studies away from other students until the hair grows back or he changes the style.

I dont think he should have gotten suspended because its just a design on his head ive gotten my last name on my head and I dint get suspended i think all the schools should be the same

I don't think the kid should have got suspended because it was just a haircut its not like it was nudity or profanity. If i could i would go there and put the Steelers logo in my hair. The principle probably didn't like the Bengals.

The boy should not be suspended for something so simple! It is not really the kid's fault. The barber is the one who shaved it. Even though that may be what he wanted. You do not always get what you want. But I am sure the barber did not know neither of this boy so no one should be to blame. It is definitely stupid though to suspend over this.

This is the stupidest thing. Kids should be able to have there hair the way they want it. I think the schools are just so strict.

This is outrageous. Who cares how he does his hair. He has the right to do whatever hair style he wants. He should not have been suspended for his hair. It's not even distracting. Compared to what all these other kids are doing wtih their hair and if they focused on what students are wearing more than their hair styles then maybe schools wouldn't be half as bad as there are.

That's not right. He is supporting his favorite NFL team. I think his haircut looks pretty cool. They should not of suspended him just for a haircut. If he came in to school with his favorite NFL team's shirt, would they suspended him? I don't think this right.

It's crazy that a boy was suspended for a haircut. He was probably trying to represent his favorite team.They minus well keep him suspended, because how is he going to get it fixed? He can't get a refund! Unless he has to wear a cap on his head.

This doesn’t make any sense to me. The school officials suspended this student just because of his haircut, his just trying to show his passion for this NFL team
