How to remove student(s)

Here's how to remove students from a class list. Don't be daunted by the following instructions - they may appear complicated, but this entire operation should take less than 60 seconds.

  1. Log in. If you have more than one classroom, select the classroom you want using the "Change Classroom" pulldown.
  2. Select "Remove students from class" from the list of links that appears beneath "For teachers links" on the right side of the page.
  3. On the resulting page, check the box adjacent to each student you want to remove from your class list. If you want to remove all students, click the box above the name of the student at the top of the list. This will put a check in every box.
  4. From the pulldown above the list, select "Block the selected users," then click the "Execute" button.
  5. You will be prompted on the following page to confirm this operation.
  6. Then select "List of registered students" from the list of links that appears beneath "For teachers links" on the right side of page. This will confirm that the students you selected were removed from your class list.

Removing students from a classroom effectively deletes them:

  • Students removed from a classroom no longer appear in your "List of registered students"
  • Students removed from a classroom lose all privileges on TweenTribune. They can't post or edit their comments or stories.
