Romney gets more adults, Obama gets more kids
However, Obama has surged with students based on a new poll of teens and tweens. Obama leads Romney by 12 points, 45 percent to 33 percent. In the last poll, Obama led by only 7 points.
The new poll of students was conducted Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 15-16 at TeenTribune.com and TweenTribune.com.
Almost 7,000 students reponded to the following question:
If you could vote today, who would you choose for President?
Here are the results:
Barack Obama: 3,115 (45%)
Mitt Romney: 2,237 (33%)
Someone else: 647 (9%)
I don't know: 889 (13%)
The percentage of students who chose neither candidate dropped from 23 percent to 22 percent, which seems to indicate that teens and tweens are making up their minds about the two candidates. This has been the trend since polling of students began in September.
